• sd98 Guidelines • (Terms & Conditions)

Remember, when you DO NOT follow these guidelines, it affects all the other sd98ers. It is also confusing to buyers if the campaign is not consistent across all sellers auctions.

Please make your best effort to follow them so that every SD98 promotion is successful for all participants. 

1.    You MUST include sd98, Sd98 or SD98 in your auction title. It can appear first or last. Make sure you do not have other characters adjoining it 
(for example: sd98 NWT and NOT sd98NWT). This is important because your auction will not show up in a buyer search for sd98 auctions otherwise.

2.   Minimum of FIVE auctions starting at 98¢ required. Additional listings can start at any amount as long as it ends in 98¢.

3.    Dutch auction items will need to start at .99 as this is the minimum starting Dutch bid eBay will allow.

4.    Feel free to use BIN (Buy It Now) if you wish.

5.    IMPORTANT: All of your sd98 auctions must end of the appropriate Sunday. Please see the calendar section of the website to be sure of all start and end dates.

By not starting and ending on the correct dates, you deny yourself the opportunity to make the most money on your auction. When all campaigns end together, it increases the bidding for every item. It is also confusing to buyers if all sd98ers are not on the same page.

6.    No adult themed items of any kind. Please refrain from auctions that have questionable content.

7. All sellers MUST use one of the approved templates OR a banner. If you choose to use a banner, it must be placed near the top of your auction.

8. Store listings are not allowed.

9. There will be a cut-off sign-up date for each campaign. The cut-off date will be the first Saturday of the campaign, please see the calendar or sign up page for the cut off date.

10. If you have already signed up, and can’t participate, please notify us as soon as possible. Please realize that this is a volunteer promotion, and that it requires a lot of work to keep the website updated. We understand that things come up, but make your best effort to follow through if at all possible.  

Please note: SD98 reserves the right to ban a seller from future campaigns for not following the guidelines (terms & conditions) OR for not changing your listings if requested to.

We highly recommend ending your items in the evening. Try to end your items at a time when they will have sufficient views. Also, please make sure you charge a sufficient amount for shipping. You deserve money for the time it takes for you to handle your packages.
